Physiotherapist, Yogatherapist & Studio Owner
I have a very personal experience and understanding of the deep power of Yoga to heal and transform anyone. As Physiotherapist with 35 years’ experience in acute and persistent pain conditions, cancer care, respiratory, post-orthopaedic surgery, rehabilitation and aged care I have accumulated some wonderful resources and knowledge. However, I always felt there was a missing link.
As a long term sufferer myself of debilitating headaches and chronic fatigue, I was on the lookout for something more.
My love for yoga started way back in 2007 when I did my first yoga class. Since then I have been practicing yoga on a daily basis as I have experienced the many benefits on a personal level. I recently completed my 250 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course with Celia Roberts at The Yoga and Integrated Medicine Institute, Brookfield. I will soon complete my 350 hour course with Celia. I have been teaching yoga in my workplace for sometime now and it's the highlight of my week. I look forward to sharing my love for yoga at YogaPlusPhysio.
My name is Don Pincott and I would like to share with you the benefits of yoga and meditation. I have been practising yoga and meditation for 11 years. The practice has helped me to cope with and balance a busy life of high school teaching and fitness instruction as well as maintaining a committed relationship.
Yin Yoga Teacher
I have come from a dance (classical ballet and tap dancing) and teaching background and have always enjoyed keeping active and healthy. Yoga has been a part of my life for many years and the flexibility and strength that come from a regular yoga practice complement my cardio training and my love of walking long distances. Discovering even more benefits for my mind and body through restorative yoga a few years ago, led me to embark on some teacher training in this field. Part of my time is spent working in the field of palliative care and restorative yoga helps to bring balance into my life. I feel immense gratitude that I am able to help people to bring some stillness.
Yoga Teacher with loads of experience!
My love for yoga began in England after the birth of my first child when I was looking for a form of exercise that would ease my sciatica, reshape my postnatal body… and maybe give me arms like Madonna’s! What I found was so much more.As my interest grew and my practice developed, I progressed from dabbling in yoga to yoga being a part of my life. I decided that I would like to know more about this system and embarked on the study of yoga and began my yoga teacher training. Two and a half years of study later I became an accredited British Wheel of Yoga teacher and began sharing my love of yoga by teaching it.
Yoga for Stress Teacher
“I fell in love with yoga in 2000. A friend suggested I try yoga and meditation after I had anxiety and panic attacks. After a few months practicing and seeing the results, I realised I wanted to teach and share. I started teacher training in 2006 and have maintained a regular home practice of asana, pranayama and meditation for over 12 years. I have been teaching for the same amount of time. I’ve learnt different styles and principles from great teachers including: Hatha, Iyengar, Yogaphysio (Tamara James) and yoga therapy.
Kids Yoga Teacher
I first started practising yoga in London in 2007 for a purely physical practice, however I soon began to notice that I was experiencing emotional benefits too, such as feeling calmer in stressful work situations. Yoga was also helping me with lower back pain.Following the birth of my children, I attended Mummy and Me yoga classes and realised that I wanted to teach yoga to kids. I continued to practice with my two children at home, and I loved seeing how they enjoyed making yoga.
In 2015 I became a qualified 200 hours teacher with Celia Roberts and YIMI. I then completed my Children’s Teacher Training with Zenergy.
