YOGA TEACHER

My love for yoga began in England after the birth of my first child when I was looking for a form of exercise that would ease my sciatica, reshape my postnatal body… and maybe give me arms like Madonna’s! What I found was so much more.As my interest grew and my practice developed, I progressed from dabbling in yoga to yoga being a part of my life. I decided that I would like to know more about this system and embarked on the study of yoga and began my yoga teacher training. Two and a half years of study later I became an accredited British Wheel of Yoga teacher and began sharing my love of yoga by teaching it.

Practicing the postures, breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation makes all of us healthier in body and mind. Yoga lets us tune in, chill out, shape up – all at the same time. The philosophical concepts of yoga also allow for a new outlook on life and give insight into the modifications of my mind. Yoga helps us get in touch with our true selves.

Along with my daily practice, I attend workshops regularly to broaden my knowledge and keep my teaching fresh as well as home study being part of my weekly routine.

I am currently a Yoga Australia Level 2 teacher. I have been lucky enough to learn from and enjoy the teachings of these wonderful Yogi’s/anatomists/teachers: Sarah Powers, Ruth Gilmore, Liz Lark, Katrina Repka, Tias Little, Anna Blackmore, Graham Burns, Gary Carter, Michelle Chand.
